Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes proudly announced that he has completed his military training to become a reservist of the Philippine Navy, and is now a full-fledged naval combat engineering officer.

He received the certificate of completion together with his classmates at the Brigade Training and Doctrine Center, Naval Combat Engineering Brigade Naval Station Jose Francisco, in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City yesterday, Monday, March 25.

Of course, he was accompanied by his wife, Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera who pinned him with the “Rifle Expert Badge” and “Kapanalig Medal.”

“When I left the house this morning, Sixto was surprised to see me in this gala uniform. He asked, ‘Dada, where are you going?’ I said that I would attend my graduation rites in the Seabees Headquarters, to my surprise, I heard the strong, coarse voice of Zia screaming, ‘What? You will graduate?’ šŸ¤£šŸ¤£,” Dong said in his Instagram post.

“I just smiled and answered that, yes, even old people can still study and finish anything as long as they want to, because learning should never stop.”

“As a reservist, it is a privilege to be given these opportunities to acquire new skills which can definitely enhance many aspects of my life as a professional, father, and husband.”

“And what an honor to receive the certificate of completion from King Bee himself, Commodore Rolando Sarmiento,” he said.

Of course, there is still a shot out of his very supportive wifey.

“Major shoutout to my super supportive wife for showing up today and pinning the ‘Rifle Expert Badge’ and the ‘Kapanalig Medal’ on me. I’m frozen in placeā€”wouldn’t want to risk becoming a human pincushion!” he said.

In 2019, Dingdong underwent military training in preparation for the Philippine adaptation of the popular South Korean series “Descendants of the Sun” alongside Jennylyn Mercado.

Dingdong admitted then, he almost gave up because of the difficulty of the training but fortunately the soldiers who were with him supported him and guided them in the training.
