Bretman Rock is all praises for Carlos Yulo, who took home the Philippines’ second and third gold medals from the Olympics.
In the latest episode of the “DaBaddest Radio” podcast, the Filipino-American content creator congratulated the Filipino athlete on his outstanding accomplishments.
“Our king, the Filipino GOAT (Greatest of all time) of Olympics, Mr. Carlos Edriel Yulo,” Bretman said in the podcast.
“I can’t wait to see more kids wanting to do sports because of him, especially boys who were shamed to explore feminine sports like gymnastics being one of them,” he added.
Bretman also pointed out how Filipino athletes are breaking the norm in sports.
“I think what’s also cool to know is that our first woman winner, Hidilyn Diaz, won gold in a predominantly male sport, and our first gold from a male came from a female-dominated sport,” he said.
“Filipinos are breaking the barrier everywhere we go,” he added.
Bretman also said he congratulated Carlos through Instagram DM, and the gymnast replied, “Thank you so much po.”
Carlos bagged gold medals for artistic gymnastics’ vault and floor exercise.
Several celebrities have shared their pride and joy for Carlos, including Vice Ganda, Rufa Mae Quinto, Vicki Belo, Michelle Dee, and Anne Curtis, among others.
