Nico Locco stood firm on what he said about Vice Ganda and It’s Showtime

Philippine-based Canadian actor Nico Locco said that he does not regret posting a rant against  Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda and the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.

To recall, Nico guested on the show’s dating segment Expecially For You with Vivamax actress Christine Bermas last May. A month later, a viral episode happened that involved searcher Christine and searchee Axel Cruz who was accused of stealing a kiss from the former.

Amid this issue, Nico shared a post that went viral. In his post, he did not mention Vice or the show but he said that people already knew about this.

The Canadian  celebrity said that it is not right to attack someone just to create a funny skit. He said that this simply shows a lack of creativity and he is tired of seeing this cycle on TV.

Nico Locco also pointed out that belittling someone to make other people laugh does not make a person a comedian but a bully.

In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Nico shared that he chose to be silent after the bashing he received for posting that. Supporters of Vice Ganda fired back at him.

However, Nico said that he did not regret sharing that post which was apparently against Vice Ganda and It’s Showtime. He said that it was a learning experience for her.

The actor admitted that it was not right that he posted that rant on social media but for him, what he said in his post was right. “Mistake yung ginawa ko [na post] but hindi mistake yung sinabi ko dun sa Showtime. Hindi mistake yung sinabi ko about Vice Ganda,” he said.

Nico stressed that they were all facts and that watching the show would make people realize that what he said was right. He also said that he is not regretful about this and that he did not regret joining the show because he learned a lot from this.

What I saw and happened in that show in the following episodes is furthered by my thoughts about what’s happening on that show,” Nico Locco said, adding that those were the things he saw and he was just saying what he felt.
