Elizabeth Oropesa has a strong message for two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo regarding his treatment of his mother, Angelica Yulo.

Recently, the veteran actress recently shared her thoughts on the ongoing controversy surrounding two-time Carlos Yulo and his treatment of his mom, Angelica Yulo. Her statement garnered various reactions from the online community.

Oropesa expressed her disappointment in Yulo’s harsh words towards his mother. She emphasized that, as a son, he should show kindness and respect to the woman who gave him life. According to her, it is never acceptable to treat parents poorly, regardless of any disagreements they may have.

The celebrity believes that respect for one’s parents is a fundamental value that should be upheld at all times.

“Masyado nang matindi ang tabas ng dila ng batang ito, hindi ko na kinaya, Hindi po ako sang-ayon, wala po akong pakialam doon sa gf niya kung sino man yun. Siya bilang anak, hindi dapat nagtatrato ng magulang ng ganyan, kahit anong sabihin mali po ‘yun,” the actress said.

Although Oropesa didn’t directly criticize Yulo’s girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, she hinted that Yulo’s behavior could impact how others, including his girlfriend, view his mother. Oropesa pointed out that if Yulo wants others to respect his mother, he must first set an example by treating her well himself.

“Wala po akong pakialam sa girlfriend niya kung sinuman ‘yon, ano? Siya (Yulo) bilang anak hindi dapat nagtatrato ng magulang nang ganyan. Kahit ano’ng sabihin, mali po ‘yon. ‘Yung pagtulong sa magulang ay hindi responsibilidad. Ito po ay galing sa puso ng taong marunong magmahal sa kanyang kapwa. Ke nanay mo, o hindi, pero lalo na kung nanay mo,” she added.
