In the video that was shared by GMA News, one can see the dismissed Bamban official’s supposed body-double walking in the corridors of what could be the NBI office.
Although the said body-double had her back to the camera and sometimes half-turned to one side, many said her resemblance to Guo is uncanny.
The identity of the said body-double remains undisclosed as of this writing, though she was referred to in the caption of GMA News as “Cath.”
The NBI has yet to release a statement as to why Guo’s supposed body-double went to their offices.
Alice Leal Guo is the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.
During a recent Senate investigation, Guo revealed the name of the person who helped her escape and leave the Philippines. During the continuation of the Senate hearing against the dismissed Mayor, she wrote the name on a piece of paper instead of publicly saying it. As it turned out, the name that she wrote was a Chinese name. According to Senator Risa Hontiveros, the said name has already been mentioned in the previous sessions in the Senate.
After the Senate investigation, Guo came face to face with her sister, Sheila Guo. Photos of them hugging each other have gone viral. The photos were taken during the first senate hearing that Alice attended after she was brought back to the Philippines. The photos shared by Philstar showed both Alice and Sheila falling into an embrace. Sheila was brought back to the Philippines first before Alice.
