LeBron will be 40 years old in December and many are wondering just how much gas he has left in the tank.
One NBA insider has explained how he thinks the Lakers legend will approach his retirement.
LeBron is getting to live out his dream of playing with his son Bronny and his current Lakers contract includes a player option 2025-26 season, so his days could be numbered.
However, ESPN‘s Dave McMenamin thinks LeBron will make it very clear to everyone when he’s about to bow out.
James has hinted at retirement a number of times, though some of these may have been a ploy so he could land a bigger contract with LA.
But his longevity was again brought up at the Olympic games.
Before winning gold with Team USA, LeBron spoke candidly about his participation in big basketball games.
“I’m 39 years old, going into my 22nd season, I don’t know how many opportunities and moments I’m going to get like this to compete for something, compete for something big and play in big games. And tonight was a big game,” James said.
