Michelle Dee Shows Off Her Pixie Cut at the GMA Gala 2024

The GMA Gala doesn’t disappoint when it comes to unexpected red-carpet beauty. Case in point: Michelle Dee’s pixie ‘do

The GMA Gala is the time of the year when we can expect the stars of the industry to be dressed to the nines and to live out their fashion expressions and beauty fantasies on the red carpet. This year, Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee made a statement by sporting a bold hairdo.

 

The beauty queen’s hair transformation reigned supreme on the red carpet. She retired her signature lob hairdo for the night to try an adventurous new look via a pixie cut wig with textured, face-framing bangs. While Michelle Dee is no stranger to rocking shorter hair—even flaunting it since her pageant days—she took her tresses to another level of chic and edge courtesy of the StyLIZED team. “On the red carpet,” the queen told MEGA, “We wanted to try and offer something new.”

Her strapless and draped Francis Libiran number also deservedly turned heads at the event. Following the glamorous combination of her attire and the wig, Michelle Dee walked the red carpet with grace and poise fit for a queen. And after all, where better to make a statement than GMA’s annual unmissable event?

“It’s also a hairstyle I’m familiar with,” Michelle continued to share, referring to her pixie-haired character Freya on GMA’s TV series Mga Lihim ni Urduja. She co-starred alongside Sanya Lopez, Gabbi Garcia, and Kylie Padilla. “It’s [the pixie cut] always something I wanted to do, pero hindi ko lang nagagawa—and now is the time to do that.”
