Simone Biles has spilled the tea about being blocked by her ex-teammate after trolling her over Team USA’s gold medal win at the 2024 Olympics.

On Tuesday (July 30), the 27-year-old gymnast clinched the gold medal alongside her teammates Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera in Paris in one of the most spectacular displays of athleticism.

In true celebratory fashion, Biles took to social media to post about her win while also stepping on business – i.e. addressing some hateful comments her team received prior to the event by one of Team USA’s former members.

“Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions,” she wrote, alongside a handful of photos taken of the team at the event.

While some fans were confused at the caption, others reminded them of Mykayla Skinner’s brutal comments about the rest of the members of the gymnastics team once it was solidified on June 30.

Skinner took to YouTube to post a video reflecting on the choices, which is when she made the comments that sparked Biles’ reaction earlier this week.

In the now-deleted video, Skinner said: “Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be. Just notice like, I mean, obviously a lot of girls don’t work as hard. The girls just don’t have the work ethic.”

Um… okay?

Of course, the comments garnered backlash on social media which led to her issuing an apology post on Instagram.

“It was not my intention to offend or disrespect any of the athletes or take away from their hard work. Your hard work and dedication has paid off and I congratulate each and every one of you,” Skinner penned on July 6.

“Upon reflection, I was comparing the ‘Marta Era’ to the current era. I am coming to terms that I have not fully dealt with the emotional and verbal abuse I endured under Marta that perhaps led to my hurtful comments. I take full responsibility for what I said and I deeply apologize,” she continued before adding that she would like to “continue healing” to ensure “a positive environment for all.”

“I wish you all the very best in Paris. I will be cheering you all on! Go Team USA!,” she concluded.

But Biles wasn’t going to let it go so easy – as she should!

After the gold medallist’s post went viral, it seemed as though Skinner just couldn’t bear to see it any longer and seemingly blocked her former teammate.

Biles took to X to write: “oop I’ve been blocked,” alongside the eyes emoji and the laughing -face emoji.

Big, fat yikes, but hey, if you’re going to be salty, then prepare for the consequences, right?

“I guess she f***** around & found out,” wrote one user after seeing the tweet, while another added: “The trash usually takes itself out.”

A third also chimed in writing: “Jealousy is a bad look on her.”

So what’s the life lesson from this? Don’t mess with Simone Biles and that’s on period.
