Tyson Fury extended an olive branch to Oleksandr Usyk with a unique holiday offer following their epic clash for the undisputed heavyweight championship.

The 35-year-old and the Ukrainian squared off in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, vying to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999. Both fighters entered the ring undefeated, but it was Usyk who emerged victorious by split decision.

Post-fight, Fury and Usyk were seen engaging in a heartfelt exchange inside the ring. Snippets of their conversation have been revealed, including Fury’s suggestion of a joint family getaway.

While embracing Usyk, Fury praised him, saying: “Good work Oleksandr. You’re a strong man and a very good boxer. Very good, my brother. In Christ.”

Usyk responded, indicating his long-term preparation for the bout: “Listen, I started preparing for you when you were boxing in 2008, European champion,” referencing Fury’s tenure as EU Junior champion, reports the Mirror.

Fury expressed his admiration in return: “Thank you my brother, you’re a very good boxer. I love it, I love it, good moves.”

The conversation continued with Usyk expressing pride before being drowned out by the surrounding noise: “I’m very proud. We’re a friendly… family. My son said: ‘Hey, Tyson push you…'”.

It was then that Fury made his holiday proposal: “I’d like to come to Ukraine with my family and have a holiday with your family and you can come to my house and have a holiday with me.”

Usyk gave a positive response, stating: “No problem, my friend,” to which Fury added: “My brother, we’ll have a beer after this. Alcohol-free!”

Following the fight, in which Usyk was announced the winner, Fury expressed his belief that he had done enough to secure victory but suggested that the judges were influenced by the current conflict in Ukraine, saying: “I believe I won that fight. I think he won a few of those rounds, but I won the majority of them. His country is at war, so people are siding with the country at war. Make no mistake, I won that fight in my opinion.”

He continued, showing respect for his opponent: “I want to thank Oleksandr for the good fight. It was a close fight. I thought I’d done enough, but I’m not a judge. I can’t judge a fight while I’m boxing in it.”
