NBA legend Michael Jordan was on hand to support his longtime pal, Dwight Freeney, during his Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony over the weekend.
The billionaire jetted back to the US after spending most of the summer gallivanting around Europe with his wife, Yvette Prieto, and quickly headed to Canton, Ohio for the former defensive end’s induction.
The Super Bowl winner, who was drafted in 2002 and retired in 2018, met the six-time NBA champion more than 20 years ago while playing golf.
Freeney is now a regular guest at Jordan’s ultra-exclusive, invite-only golf course, the Grove XXIII, in Hobe Sound, Florida, according to Golf Digest.
Jordan, who reportedly plays several times a week with the former Indianapolis Colts star, even helped orchestrate the surprise reveal that Freeney would be named to the Hall of Fame.

The former basketball player schemed with ex-Colts coach Tony Dungy to set up a fake photoshoot at his golf club, where Dungy was secretly waiting with the good news.
When Freeney took the stage at Saturday’s ceremony, he thanked his Syracuse University head coach Paul Pasqualoni and strength coach Will Hicks.
‘You trained me like Rocky Balboa, and you pushed me to my absolute limits,’ Freeney said of Hicks.
Former quarterback, Peyton Manning, was also in attendance alongside Jordan, who sat in the friends and family section.
The 61-year-old has been living it up over the past couple of months with Prieto, his wife of 11 years.
Their getaway across the pond began on Jordan’s $15million yacht in Ibiza, where they were joined by his mother Deloris, brothers James Jr. and Larry, and his sister Roslyn.
The group continued their European adventure in Portofino, where Jordan and Prieto were seen relaxing in the Italian Riviera while the NBA legend puffed on a cigar.
The former defensive end was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2002 and retired in 2018
