The Filipino gymnast delivered a stunning performance in the men’s artistic gymnastics individual qualification at the 2024 Paris Olympics, held at Bercy Arena on Saturday, July 27 (Sunday, July 28, Manila time).

He achieved a total score of 83.631, comfortably placing him at ninth place or within the Top 24 who will advance to the all-around final.

Yulo’s performance was highlighted by a nearly flawless routine in his specialty, the floor exercise, where he scored 14.766 points, initially placing him second and on track for the final.

Although he faced some challenges in the pommel horse and rings, Yulo made a strong comeback with an impressive 14.683 average in vault, securing a spot in the Top 8 to advance to the apparatus finals.

Yulo finished 28th in the pommel horse with a score of 13.066 points and dropped to 35th in the rings with a score of 13.000 points.

Despite this, the two-time world champion ended strong in the rotations, scoring 14.533 in the parallel bars and 13.466 in the horizontal bar. However, these scores were not enough to advance to the finals, as he placed 17th and 21st in those events, respectively.
