KimPau will finally team up on the big screen!

Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, affectionately known as KimPau by their fans, are taking their on-screen chemistry to the next level with their very first movie together. After making waves in the drama series “Linlang” and the Philippine adaptation of “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”, the fan-favorite pair is set to headline the upcoming film “My Love Will Make You Disappear”.

The exciting announcement was made during a New Movie Alert segment of the noontime show “It’s Showtime!”, where Kim Chiu also serves as a mainstay host.

Fans erupted with excitement as the pair revealed the title of their romantic comedy movie, as part of Star Cinema’s star-studded lineup of upcoming releases this year, joining the ranks of other highly anticipated movies such as “Un/Happy For You”, starring Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia, set to hit theaters on August 14; “Hello, Love, Again”, featuring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, arriving on November 13; and “And The Breadwinner Is…”, starring Vice Ganda, slated for release on December 25 for the Metro Manila Film Festival.

Directed by Chad Vidanes, who is known for his work on “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” and the hit teen drama series “He’s Into Her” starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, “My Love Will Make You Disappear” promises to be a cinematic treat.

Direk Chad revealed that the concept was created by Prime Cruz, with the screenplay penned by the talented duo of Patrick Valencia and Isabella Policarpio.

Though details of the plot are still under wraps, Direk Chad shared his initial thoughts: “Very interesting s’ya sa akin. Classic s’ya, classic romcom, yet very bago.”

He hinted at a storyline that explores “how the magic of love can make things go wild and fun,” adding that audiences can expect plenty of surprises as Star Cinema ushers in a new era of filmmaking.

This film marks a big moment for Kim and Paulo, who’ve been charming audiences all over the world. Just this past June, the duo brought their signature kilig to the Kapamilya Barrio Fiesta in Birmingham, the Kalayaan Karavan in Dubai, and events in Agusan Del Sur, Sorsogon, and Surigao Del Sur.
