Did Barbie Forteza ask permission from Jak Roberto before doing kissing scene?
Barbie Forteza said she doesn’t have to ask permission from her rumored boyfriend Jak Roberto when it comes to doing sweet scenes.
The 20-year-old actress is currently busy promoting her romantic-drama movie This Time I’ll Be Sweeter, where she is paired with Ken Chan.
Prior to this film, Barbie, Ken, and Jak worked with each other via the GMA-7 primetime series Meant To Be.
Barbie said, “Wala naman sa kanya yun! At saka matagal na din kaming nagkakasama sa Meant To Be, kilala na rin niya si Ken.
“So komportable siya kay Ken at may tiwala siya kay Ken at sa akin.”
The Kapuso actress pointed out that even though she did not ask permission, there were actually no scenes in the film that would bother her rumored boyfriend.
“Wala naman kaming malalang eksena dito.
“Actually, wala akong kailangang ipagpaalam na eksena sa kanya dito, safe naman lahat. In fairness naman.”
Still, Barbie believes it is her duty to inform Jak about her sweet scenes in projects, especially since the 23-year-old actor notifies her when he does sweet scenes as well.
She exclaimed, “Oo, dapat!
“Kasi siya, kahit mga maliliit na bagay, sinasabi niya talaga sa akin, e.
“Sinasabi ko naman sa kanya pero not in a way na nagpapaalam ako. Madaldal lang kasi ako so kung ano masabi ko, yun na ‘yon.”
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke to Barbie at the bloggers’s conference of This Time I’ll Be Sweeter held last Friday, November 3, at 38 Valencia Events Place, Quezon City.
KENBIE TANDEM. Barbie is glad that fans still accept her love team with Ken even though they have both admitted that they are only friends.
She said with a smile, “Kahit ganun, nagwork pa rin. Kumbaga iba naman talaga yung personal sa trabaho.
“So sa amin na yun ni Ken kung papaano namin gagawing effective yung trabaho namin.
“Masaya din kasi nga kumbaga, wala nang ine-expect sa amin yung tao kasi ginive na namin na were friends.
“Yun yung nakakatuwa kasi hindi na kami napepressure.”
Barbie clarified that This Time I’ll Be Sweeter is not exactly a follow-up to Meant To Be, since she and Ken were already informed that they will top-bill a movie a month after the series ended.
It may be recalled that for the prime-time show’s finale last June, viewers had the chance to choose who Barbie will end up with among her four leading men: Ken, Jak, Ivan Dorschner, or Addy Raj.
Fifty percent of the results came from public votes while the other fifty percent would be decided by management.
In the end, it was the KenBie tandem that prevailed.
She pointed out, “Actually alam na namin ni Ken to a month before matapos ang Meant To Be. Meron na talaga nito so hindi siya extension ng Meant To Be. Iba talaga siya.”
During the presscon proper, PEP.ph asked Barbie if she will have a kissing scene with Ken in This Time I’ll Be Sweeter.
The actress only answered, “Dito… basta may kissing scene kami ni Ken dito. Hindi lang kami sure kung saan!”
The movie, which opens on November 8 in cinemas, follows the story of Erika (Barbie), a Mass Communication student who has a crush on the campus heartthrob Tristan (Ken).
The two enter into a romantic relationship. However, Erika was heartbroken when they had to part ways.
Years later, Erika and Tristan cross paths again and try to rekindle their relationship.
This Time I’ll Be Sweeter is directed by Joel Lamangan.
