Talent manager and comedian Ogie Diaz has advised Mark Andrew Yulo, father of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, to exercise caution in his public statements regarding their ongoing family rift.

During the latest episode of his ‘Showbiz Update’ vlog, co-hosted by Mama Loi and Dyosa Pockoh, Diaz weighed in on the Facebook live session in which Mark was seen drinking with friends and making comments about his son.

In the live broadcast, Mark responded to allegations that the Yulo family had been “taking advantage” of Carlos’ success. He made light of the accusations by joking that his son “took his seed.” While Ogie acknowledged the humor in Mark’s remarks, he urged the father to be more mindful of his words, especially considering the delicate nature of the family conflict.

“Alam ko namang joke lang yun ng tatay ni Carlos Yulo pero sana, hinay-hinay lang din tayo. Alam ko naman na wala pa ring komunikasyon si Carlos at yung kanyang pamilya,” Diaz said.

The vlog also covered the Yulo family’s decision to sell their house in Imus, Cavite, with the money reportedly intended to be returned to Carlos. Additionally, the panel discussed a “shopping spree” Instagram story shared by Carlos’ girlfriend, Chloe, which has sparked further conversation online.

Despite the growing tension, Carlos Yulo has remained silent, refraining from engaging publicly in the ongoing feud between his family and Chloe. His father and Chloe, however, have been vocal, exchanging statements that have drawn widespread attention.

Diaz expressed his belief that, regardless of the current disagreements, the Yulos remain a family at the core. He emphasized that the way a child treats their parents often reflects how they were raised.

“Kahit pa magbangayan yan, mag-ina pa rin yan… ako naniniwala, dumidepende ang trato ng anak sa magulang, depende yan sa kung paano niya itrato at hubugin ang kanyang anak. Susuklian lang ‘yun ng anak,” Ogie added.

As the family saga continues to capture the public’s attention, Carlos Yulo has maintained his silence on the matter.
