Six division world champion from the Philippines, Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao was one of the most popular boxers in his era.

At 45, he talks about fighting again the way “Big” George Foreman did in winning a world title at that age. “Pac Man” fought them all from flyweight to welterweight, ducking no one. The 5’5” southpaw called it quits almost three years ago after losing to Yordenis “54 Milagros” Ugas. He had beaten Keith Thurman prior to that, which is his only loss in thirty-one fights.

In December of 1998 “Pac Man” won his first world title knocking out WBC Flyweight champion Chatchai Sasakul, 32-1-1, in Thailand. In June of 2002 he won his second divisional title the IBF World Super Bantamweight title stopping Jorge Eliecer Julio, 44-3, in two rounds.

In March of 2008 “Pac Man” won his third divisional title winning a split decision over WBC Super Featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez, 48-3-1, in Las Vegas, Nevada. In his next fight, he stopped David Diaz, 34-1-1, in nine rounds for the WBC World Light title in Las Vegas, for his fourth divisional title. In May of 2009 “Pac Man” knocked out IBO Lightweight champion Ricky Hatton, 45-1, in two rounds in Las Vegas.

In November he won the WBO Welterweight title stopping Miguel Cotto, 34-1, in the twelfth round in Las Vegas, for his fifth world divisional title. In November of 2010 he defeated Antonio Margarito, 38-6, for the vacant WBC World Super Welterweight title at Cowboy’s Stadium, in Arlington, Texas, for his sixth divisional world title.

In May 2011 “Pac Man” defeated “Sugar” Shane Mosley, 46-6-1, in a WBO Welterweight title defense. In a rematch with Marquez, he won a majority decision. In “Pac Man’s” next fight, he lost a disputed decision to Timothy Bradley, Jr., 28-0, by split decision in Las Vegas. In a rematch with Bradley, “Pac Man” defeated Bradley, in April of 2014, in Las Vegas. He then defeated Chris Algieri, 20-0, in Macao. “Pac Man” lost to WBA and WBC Welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr., 47-0, by decision. In “Pac-Man’s” third fight with Bradley, he won a decision. After a loss to Jeff Horn, 16-0-1, for his WBO Welterweight title he won the WBA World Welterweight title stopping Lucas Martin Matthysse, 39-4. He defeated Adrian “The Problem” Broner, 33-3-1, in Las Vegas.

Then “Pac Man” won a split decision over Keith “One Time” Thurman, 29-0, in July of 2019. In his next and final fight, he lost to Ugas. “Pac Man” ended his career with a 62-8-2, record with 39 stoppages. He was an all action fighter never disappointing the fans!
