Gerald Anderson, in a recent interview with ABS-CBN, expressed what he felt about the movie of his GF, Julia Barretto, and the latter’s ex-boyfriend, Joshua Garcia.

The actress and her ex-boyfriend are the main characters in the movie, “Un/happy For You.”

When asked about the movie and the career of his girlfriend, Gerald said that he supports his girlfriend, knowing full well that she worked hard for it.

The actor also indicated they always support each other since day one of their relationship, which is why they have been okay for so many years already.

“I’m here as a silent supporter. Grabe. It’s super. Alam ko pinaghirapan niya ‘yan. That’s why it’s been like this, naging okay kami for so many years is because sinusuportahan namin ang isa’t isa,” the actor said.

When asked if he trusts Julia enough to allow her the opportunity to work with her ex-boyfriend, Joshua, Gerald first admitted that while the situation is indeed awkward, but that is how it is with their work.

“Can you say that you really trust Julia? I mean, you know, she’s working with an ex, and it’s not easy, alam naman natin,” the ABS-CBN reporter asked.

“Well, sa totoo lang, awkward talaga ng trabaho namin. Gano’n talaga. I’ve been in that… Nando’n ako sa sitwasyon na ‘yon before. That’s why I try to be as supportive as possible na hindi nakaka… I don’t want to steal the spotlight,” the actor replied.

“Pinaghirapan nila yan eh and I know how hard it is to work in a movie na gusto mong mapanuod ng maraming tao. So you just give it to her. It’s her time,” Gerald concluded.

Gerald Randolph Opsima Anderson Jr., or simply Gerald Anderson, is a Filipino-American actor born on March 7, 1989. He is best known for his lead roles in several TV series, including Sana Maulit Muli, My Girl, Tayong Dalawa, Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, and Budoy.

Recently, Gerald also posted a touching message for his girlfriend, Julia. He posted it on social media after the screening of “Un/happy For You.” It can be recalled that the said movie features Julia and her ex-boyfriend, Joshua Garcia, as main characters. In Gerald’s message, he recognized the hard work that Julia poured into the movie.

Previously, showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz asked Gerald about the rumored wedding of the actor and Julia. Mama Ogs said that he heard the two already tied the knot in the United States. The showbiz reporter, nevertheless said that assuming the rumors were true, he doesn’t see any issue with it.
