Earlier in the day, Yulo and Philippine gymnastics chief Cynthia Carrion met with executives of Cebuana Lhuillier in Makati, where he was given three specially-crafted gold bars to commemorate his Olympic feat.

Cebuana Lhuillier also gave P100,000 to the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines to further the development of the sport.

“Today, we celebrate not just medals and records, but the indomitable spirit of a young man who defied odds, pushed boundaries, and made our nation proud. To Carlos, these gold bars symbolize more than metal—they represent your unwavering commitment to greatness. May they inspire you to continue reaching new heights,” Cebuana Lhuillier President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier said.

Yulo appeared on Tuesday’s episode of TV Patrol Express and the network’s flagship news program, TV Patrol.

It has been an eventful month for Yulo, who became the first Filipino athlete to win two Olympic gold medals when he ruled both the vault and floor exercise in men’s artistic gymnastics in Paris.

He has received a bevy of incentives for his historic achievement, including cash rewards from both the government and private companies, as well as vehicles and a condominium worth P32-M from a property giant. — with a report from Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News
