Kathryn Bernardo says she can forgive people who deserve it: ‘But it doesn’t mean na puwede kang bumalik’

Kathryn Bernardo is the latest star to grace the cover of Mega Magazine. It’s incidentally the magazine’s self-love issue, and in her special feature, she spoke about forgiveness for a way to peace of mind and clarity.

According to Kathryn, she never imagined herself being in this situation, but distance is her way of “protecting my peace.”

When it comes to forgiveness, meanwhile, Kathryn admitted she really doesn’t know because “ang lalim kasi ng word na forgiveness.”

“For me, you can forgive people who deserve it. But when I forgive you, it doesn’t mean that I have to keep you in my life,” she said, adding that she can forgive people for her peace of mind and for clarity.

She continued, “But it doesn’t mean na puwede kang bumalik. There is a silent understanding: to give respect for whatever good we had in the past. I think that is where we should be right now. I don’t want to force things if I’m not yet ready. Let’s just leave it that way.”
