International boxing champion-turned-politician Manny Pacquiao and his family never shied away from showing off their wealth. Being worth more than US$220 million, the Pacquiaos make the most of their fortune – from renting islands for vacations to being gifted luxury couple bicycles. Here’s how one of the Philippines’ most affluent families spends their money.

Properties

As someone who grew up underprivileged, Pacquiao made sure to invest his earnings into something concrete, namely residential properties. The family is known to own at least nine houses, spread locally and internationally. The boxing champ built two mansions in his hometown of General Santos – one being the famous two-storey, seven-bedroom Mediterranean-inspired “Pacman Mansion” that stands on a 2,300-square-metre lot and the other being the contemporary and rustic White House.

The Pacquiaos also frequent their home in Sarangani, which is a modern 14-bedroom beach house that boasts a stellar view of the sands and is located within a protected marine sanctuary in the area.

Fashion

Manny’s wife and resident fashionista, Jinkee Pacquiao, knows how to work luxury fashion items while being a full-time mum. Her style lookbooks are presented on Instagram and she’s not afraid to splurge for her elegant and unique outfits. Her staple pieces include statement belts, lustrous earrings and bracelets and lush handbags.

She has been spotted with limited-edition Hermès bags, such as the Beige Box Vibrato Kelly Sellier 25 (US$19,050), the Kelly Rouge Agathe Crocodile Porosus GHW (US$45,986) and the Birkin Noir Black Crocodile Porosus Lisse in gold (US$71,775). Jinkee also has pieces from Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Moschino and more luxury brands.

Education

The Pacquiaos have five children under their roof: Emmanuel Jr, Michael Stephen, Mary Divine Grace, Queen Elizabeth and Israel – all of whom except youngest Israel are attending Brent International School – where annual fees range from US$8,000 to $18,000 per child.

Emmanuel Jr graduated from senior high in 2019 and is on the road to becoming a boxer, just like his father.

Sports

Aside from boxing, Pacquiao has a keen interest in basketball, which brought him to launch the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) in 2017, a semi-professional regional men’s basketball competition which features both a commercial and barangay-level league.

The league even reached Dubai in 2019, with tickets for MPBL exhibition matches starting from US$14. He has also made sure that the league’s players get a monthly salary of upwards of 15,000 pesos (US$305).
