Like many well-known Gen Z celebrities today, Miles Ocampo joined the showbiz industry at a young age. She’s gained a loyal fanbase and a wide range of acting credits since she became a child star at 12 years old, but she still had to deal with moments of self-doubt every now and then.

Habang lumalalaki ka siyempreang goal mo, gusto kong sumikatyung sikat na sikat,” Miles revealed in a recent interview. “The typical artista na pinagkakaguluhan.

Miles then admitted that she used to compare herself to fellow child stars like Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes, who were arguably more popular than her at the time. ICYDK, these three ladies were all Goin’ Bulilit castmates back in the day.

Sina Kath and Ate Julia ‘yung parang first sa batch namin na talagang sikat na sikat after Mara Clara.

Fortunately, Miles eventually realized that career progression varies for every person.

Miles also shared that being a celebrity isnât just about fame, but rather staying consistent: “Tapos na-realize ko na ‘pag tiningnan mo ‘yung bigger picture ng pagiging artista, hindi naman siya pasikatan.

Kasi doon ko na-realize na any time pwede kang palitan,” she concluded.
