In a short Q&A at the finale with the event’s host R’Bonney Gabriel and Robi Domingo, Kathryn shared that it took at least a month for Ritz Charles Beltran of G-Force to put together the dance number.
Despite the complex choreography, she dedicated just a week to practice before finally taking the stage.
She said, “Actually, I started preparing for that part, I think, last week.
“But then, G-Force, headed by Ritz, he was preparing for it, I think, for like a month. And then, they were very patient.
“So, I’d like to thank Teacher Georcelle and G-Force for being so supportive.”
Georcelle Dapat-Sy is the founder of G-Force.

The actress also gave a shout-out to her trainer Mauro Lumba.
“Of course, the preparation for the body… It took months of preparation.
“Ever since I did the TVC, I continued working out with my trainer, which is Mauro Lumba.
“I think he is here. He is the Superbod 2014 winner. He has been very patient as well.
“So, I have G-Force for the dance, and then Mauro to prepare my body.”

KATHRYN BERNARDO: WORK IN PROGRESS
Despite her impressive body transformation, Kathryn humbly said, “To be honest, I think I’m a work in progress,” when asked by Robi if this phase was her best version yet.
Kathryn continued, “Not yet, not yet… But I try to be better every day… I just turned 28 and I feel like ang dami pang mangyayari.
“And I’m just open to change and transformation now. So I think I have the best family with me.
She proceeded to share some valuable lessons she picked up from her self-improvement journey, highlighting her faith in the 1% habit.
She said, “I think to become the best version of ourselves, it comes with growth.
“And ang galing, because the campaign for Century Tuna… it’s just so empowering to be part of a movement like this.
“And for me, as long as you have awareness and you have the willingness to grow every day, I think that itself, parang it’s being the best version of yourself na.
“And for me, I believe in the 1% habit. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the 1% habit. Like every day, you try to be a 1% better.
“So I just keep that in mind every day… You can’t do anything overnight. So 1% progress, little wins, little progress.
“And you give yourself a few months and maybe a few years or maybe a year. And then you’ll see a huge difference.
“But you have to keep in mind that it won’t happen overnight, just baby steps.”
CENTURY TUNA SUPERBODS 2024 WINNERS
The event also witnessed the crowning of two new Superbod winners, with Jether Palomo and Justine Felizarta taking home the titles.
Meanwhile, Patrick Patawaran and Jessica Marasigan were named the runners-up.
During the finals’ question and answer segment, Pia Wurtzbach asked Justine, “How do you think winning Superbods would differ from your previous experience as a beauty queen title-holder?”
Justine’s winning answer: “Winning Superbods is more than just a title for me. When I turned 30 this year, I really vowed to myself that I want to thrive in more areas.
“And even if it is hard and have obstacles along the way, I want to make sure that I am living my best you ever, which is why I joined Century Tuna Superbods competition.
“And in this competition, I hope to inspire more people to go out of their comfort zone. And it’s never too late to chase for your dreams, no matter how big it is.
“And you can inspire other people with your own story by taking one step at a time and helping them become their best you ever. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, Jether had the opportunity to be asked by Marian Rivera, “Your social media following grew when you became a finalist. How would you use this opportunity even after your Superbod journey?”
Jether answered, “I grew this platform showing that you can be authentically you in showing who you are as a person.
“I’ve been the one to ruin my self-image and ultimately I fell apart, but those pieces of me didn’t fall apart, they only fell into place.
“And now I want to be able to use that social platform to continue to inspire others on their fitness journey on becoming their best you ever.”
Special awards were handed out during the finale, with Jether Palomo taking home five special awards, including Slay the Runway, Perfect Smile, People’s Choice, Flex It Like a Superbod, Garmin Beat Yesterday, and E-commerce Superstar.
