Kathryn bids her teen years adieu with a new book, ‘Everyday Kath: Kathryn Bernardo’s 365 Ways to be a Teen Queen’
MANILA, Philippines – She turned 20 years old last March 26 but Kathryn Bernardo is still the ultimate teen queen to her many fans. As a gift to her followers, she’s recently launched her book Everyday Kath: Kathryn Bernardo’s 365 Ways to be a Teen Queen.
“Siguro ‘yung pagiging strong sa lahat, kasi dati fragile ako. Pero because of all the experiences…I think I’ve grown up,” she said. (I guess being strong because before, I was so fragile. But because of all the experiences…I think I’ve grown up.) She added that her family has also kept her grounded, especially during more challenging times.
Kathryn also shared some details about her new movie with Daniel Padilla. Last week, it was announced that they will be doing the movie set in Spain under the direction of Olivia Lamasan.

“The final details, wala pa. [Pero] yung picture, 90% i-shoot namin sa Barcelona,” Kathryn said. (There’s no details yet. But will shoot 90% of the movie in Barcelona.)
She also said that she is spending as much time as she can now with her family and friends since she and Daniel will be away for around 3 weeks to do the movie.
Currently studying at Enderun College, Kathrn is working hard to finish school.
(I’m continuing it. It’s hard, but my mama is there to push me and Enderun is very supportive. It’s team work between me and Enderun to help me finish school.)
As for her book Everyday Kath, Kath has written about life lessons she’s picked up given her experiences. It contains chapters on fashion and beauty, plus she shares a few details about her personal life, too.
“I know growing up isn’t always easy, which is why I’ve put together this book to help you find your sparkle and be your best, happiest self! It’s packed with tons of honest advice, and fun anecdotes, and it’s my special way of saying goodbye to my teen years while looking forward to the exciting years ahead with all of you,” wrote Kathryn in the introduction.
When asked about her personal sense of style during the book launch, Kathryn said she sticks to the classic and timeless. She did admit it was a struggle to find her style, as being in showbiz does require an element of change and transformation.
“Yes [there’s a struggle] because may chapter tayo sa buhay na di mo alam kung anong bagay sa iyo, ‘yung – sa mga cuts, yung sa mga colors, dumaan ako sa stumble na iyon and I’m very thankful sa mga stylists ko, glam team ko...” she said.
(Yes [there’s a struggle] because people do go through phases where you don’t know if things suit you – cuts, the colors, I stumbled through that and I’m very thankful to my stylists, my glam team for their help.)
