Dingdong Dantes penned a touching letter of encouragement for his daughter Zia as she participated in a swimming competition.

On Instagram, the Kapuso Primetime King shared photos he took of his unica hija during her practice at the pool.

In the caption, Dingdong said he will miss most of Zia’s competition as he had to travel to Davao for work. But he made sure to express his support before he left.

“In the pool, as in life, every stroke you take not only propels you forward but also reflects your commitment and resilience,” he wrote.

“Embrace the water’s hold, for within its depths, you discover your true strength. Keep pushing, keep swimming, and let the currents of determination guide you to greatness.”

He also praised Zia for the progress she made and commended her coaches for their guidance.

“Please understand that regardless of the outcome, I am already incredibly proud of the dedication, passion, and enthusiasm you bring to this sport,” he said.

“Of course, remember to extend your gratitude to your Mama for her constant support and guidance. Just as she has been for me, she undoubtedly serves as your lucky charm as well,” he added.

Zia is Dingdong’s eldest child with wife Marian Rivera. They also have a son, four-year-old Sixto.

The little girl has been an achiever on the pool. She won a swimming medal last March and followed it up with a six-medal haul in another competition last month.

Zia was also named the Most Outstanding Swimmer at the Speedo Jumpstart Novice Swim Carnival.

Aside from swimming, the seven-year-old has been trying several hobbies, such as horse riding, soccer, and playing instruments like piano and ukulele.
