Dingdong Dantes praised his wife Marian Rivera for her “natural talent” for comedy following her viral moment as celebrity judge in a beauty and fitness contest where she was asked by a contestant to translate her question from Tagalog to English.

The Kapuso actor took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 10, to share a photo of his wife donning a red cut-out dress that she wore to the Superbods 2024 finals nights.

“Hindi lang ang iyong panlabas na kagandahan ang nagningning kagabi, kundi pati na rin ang natural mong talento sa pagpapasaya at pagpukaw sa puso ng mga Pilipino,” wrote the Kapuso actor in his caption.

“Isang masigabong palakpak para sa iyo, Misis ko. P.S. ‘Di kailangang i-translate sa ingles, gets niyo na ‘to,” added Dantes, referencing the moment his wife was asked to translate a question from Tagalog to English.

Rivera responded in the comment section, writing, “Love you, mahal ko. Sa susunod ikaw na tatawagan ko para mag translate!” (Love you, my love. Next time I will call you to translate!

During the Q&A portion, Rivera initially asked her question in Tagalog before the male contestant requested if she could translate it to English because he could not understand.

The Kapuso actress said she would “try [her] best” to comply with the request.

The moment went viral on social media and gained funny reactions, given Rivera’s humorous way of delivering her translation.

Despite the positive remarks, some netizens pointed out that the “Marimar” actress failed to accurately translate the question. However, most fans continue to defend Rivera for her ability to bring amusement.
