People in the Philippines have polarizing opinions about gambling. Although some forms of gambling are legal in the country, many people are still skeptical about this and the fact that these are being endorsed by celebrities.
To recall, actress Nadine Lustre was bashed because she endorsed an online gambling platform.
In a recent interview, based on that article in PEP, Maine explained why a gambling platform is one of the brands that she is endorsing. She was launched as the endorser of the online gaming platform on September 29, 2024, at the Grand Hyatt Manila.

“I decided to endorse Bingo Plus because I was impressed by their commitment to responsible gambling,” she explained.
The actress-host also stressed that knowing that Bingo Plus “has a strong reputation in the industry, prioritizing transparency and fairness” which aligns with her values, pushed her to come up with the decision to endorse it.
Maine Mendoza is aware that there are people who criticize online gambling for the risks of addiction and financial loss. She stressed that in order to minimize this risk, awareness and responsible play should be promoted.
However, the actress-host stressed that when gambling is approached responsibly, this can be a form of entertainment that people can enjoy. She also said that the hosts of Bingo Plus consistently remind players to gamble responsibly.
