Marian Rivera reveals that despite her busy schedule, she and her husband Dingdong Dantes have plans to celebrate Valentine’s Day this week!

In an interview with reporters last February 9, 2024, for an event with a local home and kitchen appliances brand of which she is the ambassador, Marian affirmed that she and Dingdong will be going out on the day of love—but asked him to make a slight change this year.

Oo meron kami [plano],” she said. “Pero sabi ko kay Dong this time gusto kong maiba. Gusto ko makasama ‘yung dalawang bata. Kasi naging busy kami last year, eh parang siguro eto ‘yung time na para to spend with [the kids]. So sabi ko gusto ko kaming apat.”

[Translation: “Yes we have plans. But I told Dong that I wanted this year to be different. I want to bring the kids along. We got so busy last year and this is the time that we can actually bond with the kids. So I told him that I want us four to be together [on Valentine’s Day].”]

Marian also said that it’ll definitely be a local trip since her many showbiz engagements leave her no time to go abroad.

‘Yung totoo? Hindi pa [ako nakakapagpahinga],” she said while laughing. “Sabi ko nga na after the movie [“Rewind”]. Kasi grabe talaga. October, November, December, dire-diretso [‘yung trabaho].

So sabi ko ngayon na medyo nakakahinga-hinga nang paisa-isa, eh, spend tayo ng time with them.”

[Translation: “The truth? I have yet to rest. I said that I could after the promotions of our movie “Rewind.” Because it was intense. October, November, December, work was neverending. Even during Christmas, we were out. But that’s okay, we explained how important this project was for us to the kids. And they supported us, especially Zia who can understand. So I said that now that we have a moment to breathe, we should spend time with them.”]
