Robin Padilla Turns Down Role In ‘Mga Batang Riles’, Here’s Why

 

Robin Padilla was offered a special role in a Kapuso series

Senator Robin Padilla turned down a role in the Kapuso series Mga Batang Riles and he suggested a replacement.

This series features Kapuso actors Miguel Tanfelix, Kokoy de Santos, Bruce Roeland, Raheel Bhyria, and Antonio Vinzon.

It has been a long time since Robin did an acting project when he started his political after winning as one of the senators in the 2022 elections. He only had a short appearance in the movie Maid in Malacañang about the lives of the Marcoses which was also released in 2022.

Just recently, an acting offer was presented to him, based on the article in PEP. However, the lawmaker shared that he turned down a special role that was offered to him. Mga Batang Riles is set to be released on January 25.

In an interview during the Konsyerto sa Palasyo on December 15 at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañang Palace, Sen. Robin Padilla said, “Hindi ko tinanggap. Hindi na kaya ng oras ko,” he said.

The Senator also shared that he recommended his fellow actor Ronnie Ricketts to take his place instead. Robin said that when it comes to martial arts, Ronnie is more knowledgeable.

Then, the Kapuso network hired Ronnie for the role that was first offered to Robin. The Senator only mentioned this and there is a possibility that Ronnie knows nothing about this, that he was recommended by Robin for that specific role.

The lawmaker pointed out his work in the Senate as the reason why he has not finished yet his two movies Bad Boy 3 and Plaridel, the movie about the life of revolutionary writer Marcelo H. Del Pilar.

Robin Padilla was also chosen to play the character of former soldier and senator Gringo Honasan in a biopic movie.
