Aamir Khan’s ‘Taare Zameen Par’ is one of the most loved films of all time. The film also starred Darsheel Safary, who essayed the role of Ishaan Awasthi. In the film, he was seen playing the role of an 8-year-old boy with dyslexia.
On July 7, Aamir Khan Productions posted Darsheel Safary’s initial audition footage of ‘Taare Zameen Par’ on their social media platform.The clip captures Darsheel portraying the scene where Ishaan is distracted in class and reprimanded by his teacher.
In response to the video on X, one user commented, “Touches my heart deeply. The film, the songs, and this young boy’s performance.” Another one expressed, “Every aspect of this movie is captivating. Bringing out such a performance from a child to portray dyslexia is beyond anyone’s imagination. Aamir Khan, you’re a genius.”
Speaking about how life changed changed post the success of ‘Taare Zameen Par’, Darsheel had told ETimes in an interview, “It changed a little bit. Everybody knew me in school and talked about the movie. Taare Zameen Par was a hit. My equation with my family remained more or less the same. My sister was really small back then and she made my heart melt every time she cried. She really didn’t understand what I was doing or how popular I was. My family kept me grounded.”
The film also starred Tisca Chopra, Vipin Sharma, Tanay Chheda and Girija Oak in pivotal roles.
