Minh Phuong, also known as Emma, took to social media to deny any involvement with Daniel Padilla.
On Instagram, the Vietnamese woman shared screenshots of netizens’ allegations being thrown at her on social media platforms, along with an official statement regarding the issue.
She started by introducing herself as Minh Phuong, or Emma.
“Since last year, I have received a lot of messages from fans and supporters of Daniel Padilla, a famous actor in the Philippines,” she wrote.
“It is known that Daniel visited Vietnam last year with his friends. Prior to his visit [to] my country, I have never met him,” she added.
According to Emma, Daniel visited the bar that her brother owns when the actor went to Vietnam last year.
“My brother told me that Daniel is there, and I can say Hi to him because I know he is a famous actor,” she said.
“I saw Daniel and his friends in the bar, exchanged a few words, and then I went back home with my sister,” she added. “That is the end of my interaction with him.”
Emma asked for netizens to be “civilized and polite” in the latter part of her statement, revealing she has received threats on her life and her job.
“Please be a cultured person,” she said. “You guys have threatened my life and my job, sent messages, and spammed my family and friends.”
“A lot of you guys think that I am someone important, but I want to ask the question: Are you accusing me with no proof and all speculations?” she added.
Emma ended her post by asking netizens to “maintain dignity and respect” when coming to her social media account.
“And please do not act without thinking,” she ended.
Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel called it quits in November last year, ending their 11-year relationship.
Shortly after their breakup, the former couple attended the 2023 Asia Artist Awards at the Philippine Arena and were among the winners of AAA Fabulous Award.
Earlier this month, Kathryn unfollowed Daniel on Instagram.
