Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James reacted to Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark’s triple-double against the Los Angeles Sparks
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark wrote another chapter of her historic WNBA rookie season on Wednesday. By notching her second career triple-double in a win over the Los Angeles Sparks, Clark became the sixth player in WNBA history with multiple career triple-doubles (via StatMamba on X). Her latest triple-double is the 35th in WNBA regular-season history and 40th overall.
Already the only rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double, Clark continues to set standards. Named Eastern Conference Player of the Month prior to Wednesday’s win, Clark carried that momentum into the game against Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has been a vocal supporter of Clark throughout her rookie season, and he shared a five-word reaction to her triple-double on Instagram.
Via @kingjames: “Hi HATERS!!!!!! I love it.”
While both are unique, James and Clark each entered their respective leagues with unprecedented hype.
Clark has a long career ahead of her, but she is in the midst of a historic rookie campaign, much like James was in 2003 when he averaged 20.9 points, 5.9 assists and 5.5 rebounds en route to earning NBA Rookie of the Year honors. Clark, who is the front-runner for the WNBA Rookie of the Year honor, has strengthened her case since the Olympic break.

Since the WNBA schedule resumed, Clark is averaging 24.5 points, 9.1 assists and 5.6 rebounds on 47.8% from the field and 38.8% from 3.
More important than Clark’s individual production has been Indiana’s 7-1 record since the break that has them in sole possession of sixth place in the WNBA’s overall standings. They are 2 1/2 games behind Seattle for fifth place with six games to play.
