The public denunciation from one of Washington’s most powerful Democrats prompted a swift and equally harsh counter from Karoline Leavitt. Using the social media platform X, she issued a direct reply to Jeffries that mirrored the acrimonious tone of his press conference.
“Democrats do NOT serve the interests of the American people,” Leavitt wrote in her post. She then made the dispute personal, targeting Jeffries directly. “Hakeem Jeffries is an America Last, stone-cold loser.
