After Alden Richards, his AlDub partner Maine Mendoza is the next GMA-7 artist to cross over to ABS-CBN Films.

Maine is paired with Carlo Aquino in a Black Sheep-produced movie titled Isa Pa With Feelings.

Black Sheep is a film outfit under ABS-CBN Films, and a sister company of Star Cinema.

During the July 9 press conference for Alden’s Star Cinema movie Hello, Love, Goodbye, he said that he is happy for Maine and her latest project.

Alden recalled that in the past, Maine opened up to him when she found acting to be challenging for her.

“I’m really happy that Maine is now really exploring acting with a different partner now and doing movie projects alone.

“Kasi when we were working together, parang nakukuwento niya sa akin na she’s really having a hard time when it comes to the craft, when it comes to acting.”

The Kapuso actor said that he is happy to see that just like him, Maine has been given the opportunity to do a movie with ABS-CBN.

“Siyempre, full support naman kami… sinusuportahan namin ang isa’t isa kapag gumagawa ng projects together.

“Pero now, ito na yung time ni Maine to break out of that fear and conquer kung ano man yung mga nagho-hold back sa kanya.

“I’m really happy for her na nabigyan siya ng opportunity to also do a project with Star Cinema, which is Black Sheep.”

ALDEN ON WORKING AGAIN WITH STAR CINEMA

Hello, Love, Goodbye is Alden’s first project outside GMA-7 since he started his acting career in 2011.

This movie allowed him to be paired with Kathryn Bernardo, who is considered to be one of ABS-CBN’s most bankable stars.

Hello, Love, Goodbye has yet to be shown on July 31, but Alden was already asked if he is open to doing a follow-up project with Star Cinema.

Alden answered, “Sana po. Kung meron man pong offer, hindi ko tatanggihan, siyempre po with the blessing pa rin po ng GMA kung papayagan pa rin po ako.

“But I’m still looking forward to do films with Star Cinema and also other production houses.”

Alden’s past movie projects were produced by GMA Films (now GMA Pictures), sometimes co-produced with other film outfits.
