The nation continues to mourn the passing of what seemed like an immortal love team. Last Monday, January 20, rumors about James Reid and Nadine Lustre‘s breakup were finally quelled when an official statement was released on ABS-CBN‘s Tonight With Boy Abunda.

“It’s true that we have split up but not for all the reasons that are being spread on the tabloids and social media but because after quiet and mature conversations, we decided to focus on ourselves not only for our careers but more for our personal growth as we are still young and we want to achieve as much as we can,” the first half of the statement reads.

Their relationship may have ended, but at least we have the internet to look back on whenever separation anxiety strikes and to ease this momentary pain. Since the love team’s big break in the hit TV show On The Wings of Love, their reel-to-real story has been well-documented online, especially their on-point OOTDs.

Few couples have the ability to look stylish each and every time, but it just so happened that James and Nadine’s style totally complement each other. “[Our thoughts] are just synchronized,” James shared with Preview last October 2019. “And for some reason, we’re just thinking about the same color and we’ll just realize that we’re matching!”
