Barbie Forteza admitted there was a time she had to set her relationship with Jak Roberto aside for her on-screen pairing with David Licauco.

On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Kapuso Primetime Princess said it was a challenging part of their relationship, affecting the quality time they spent together. In fact, she even felt a bit of guilt.

But Jak has been such a trooper, supporting her all the way, and even being very proud of the #BarDa love team success. He would even initiate celebrating with her, whenever the #BarDa love team lands endorsements or shows.

“Very secure siya sa sarili niya na he lets his woman shine kahit not with him,” she said.

At the height of the #BarDa success in fact, Jak Roberto even made a name for himself for his “anti-silos” class meme.

When asked if David and Jak are friends, Barbie answered, “Sabi nila. Hindi naman sila nag-uusap. Pero I guess they’re good.”

Barbie and David became a famous love team after starring as Fidel and Klay in the historical portal fantasy series “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” which is now streaming on Netflix.

They are now set to star on “Pulang Araw” with Sanya Lopez, Alden Richards, and Dennis Trillo.

Aside from the series, BarDa’s first movie together, “That Kind of Love,” will be shown in Philippine cinemas on July 10.

The film is also an entry to the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival.

On the show, Barbie admitted to not hitting it off right away with David, because apart from the actor always being late, they also happen to be two different people with different work ethics following different work routines.
