Vice Ganda reveals dream project with late veteran actress Jaclyn Jose

Kapamilya television host Vice Ganda revealed he has already pitched a ‘dream project’ to the late veteran actress Jaclyn Jose.

Jose died on March 3 after suffering from cardiac arrest. She was 59.

Vice said the death of Jose is a great loss to Philippine show business. Vice added that he wanted to work with the multi-awarded actress for an indie-type comedy film.

“Of course, he’s gone. Because I also have a dream project with her, which I pitched to one of the things in Star Cinema. I like an indie type movie, but a comedy. A comedy drama that is a serious indie type of me and my mother. That’s good, they say, for a change. I said, I want it, for what it is, I want to have a movie like this. Well, he won’t be able to continue,” Vice said in an ABS-CBN interview.

The two have worked together in the Metro Manila Film Festival film “Fantastica.”

“It’s sad, because I really like the two of us, the two of us heroes,” he added.

Vice said the film he was exploring with Jose was supposed to present a story of a mother and child.

“My favorite project, we are two protagonists who are mother and daughter with a unique dynamic. Because I watched what I really liked being her mother there. I said, I want to have that kind of mother in the movie. The mother who cursed me, like that. That’s it,” Vice said.

Vice added that Jose was very comfortable in doing comedy.

“At the beginning, I was still shy and then I doubted how I would play him time-in. But, he was the one who said, ‘Do what you want to do.’ Then there are many punch lines that are said on the spot, then he is willing,” he added.
