“Rewind” is among the frontrunners in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival as throngs of moviegoers troop to various cinemas across the country to see the first-ever film of reel-and-real-life sweethearts Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera after 13 years.

But prior to piercing our hearts and leaving us in tears in their portrayal of the story of John and Mary, the couple indulged us by enthusiastically taking on this adorable and fun “Shoe Game.” They were asked a few questions regarding their relationship, in which they had to raise either the stilettos or the tuxedo shoes given to them to determine whether it’s her or him that each question is referring to.

First off is who between them has the better shower singing voice, to which both of them agreed that it’s Dingdong – and he jokingly admitted it, while she confirmed it.

With regard to who’s more likely to fall asleep in front of the television, both pointed at each other, which she strongly denied by arguing that she always tells him every time she’s already sleepy, unlike him who really sleeps while they’re watching TV. But the couple imparted that it is actually their daughter Zia who can quickly fall into slumber within three seconds.

While she was initially hesitant to raise her heels, Dingdong didn’t have to think about who between them eats the most junk food as he discloses that it’s among her comfort food. On the other hand, neither of them didn’t waste any time in raising their heels and tuxedo shoes as they know all too well whose louder and the loud snorer, respectively between the two of them.

When it comes to keeping secrets, Marian and Dingdong prove that they are indeed each other’s best friends as both of them are best at keeping each other’s secrets. But they were not able to conceal that Marian is the bigger shopaholic between them. She is also the one who’s likely to get lost, which usually happens at parties since she likes to talk to her friends and acquaintances.

Dingdong attempted to trick his wife when he raised his shoes upon being quizzed about who is the better cook and the more organized between them in pursuit of getting her reaction. He disclosed that it was actually her cooking skills that made her fall in love with her deeper, while he just agreed with her as she insisted for him to tell the truth with regard to being organized.

This challenge also gave us a glimpse of how a hands-on mom Marian is as she’s the one who wakes up first during school days. Dingdong, on the other hand, is the one who stays up late often.

The well-loved couple took us back as well to the beginning of their romance as they recounted that it was Dingdong who made the first move and said “I love you” first.

“Rewind” marks Dingdong and Marian’s comeback film after more than a decade and their first together under Star Cinema. Joining them in the movie are veteran and seasoned stars Coney Reyes, Ariel Ureta, Lito Pimentel, Pepe Herrera, and Sue Ramirez.
