Dapat ba siyang tratuhin nang ganyan? Nag-post ang mga netizen ng mga komentong “hindi naaangkop” sa pinakabagong post ni Gabbi Garcia sa IG.

Netizens post humorous takes on Gabbi Garcia’s latest IG post

Gabbi Garcia’s post about a closed Japanese restaurant resulted in humorous takes from netizens

It looks like Filipino netizens are still traumatized by the multiple celebrity breakups from the previous year as a Instagram post from reel and real-life couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos has sparked a humorous reaction on social media.

Facebook group FTTM posted one of the photos from Gabbi’s more recent Instagram post along with a caption from the GMA News social media account. While the GMA News caption made it clear that Gabbi and Khalil were mourning the closure of Japanese restaurant Ogawa, FTTM humorously wrote in their caption: “kinabahan naman kami mii”, implying that they thought Gabbi’s post was a breakup post.

As of this writing, the FTTM post has received 15,000 reactions and more than a hundred comments.

In the comments, netizens either wrote that they almost cursed because they thought Gabbi and Khalil had broken up or explaining that the broken heart emoji in the GMA News caption made them think that it was indeed a breakup post.

Comments on the FTTM Facebook post

The GMA News post comes after Barbie Forteza announced her breakup with longtime boyfriend, Jak Roberto.

It should come as no surprise to Gabbi and Khalil’s longtime fans and social media followers that the couple would mourn the closure of a restaurant since the two are well-known foodies. Aside from hosting the Frontseat Foodies podcast, the couple also make a point of visiting acclaimed restaurants.

Just last month, Gabbi and Khalil visited Logy, a restaurant in Taiwan that has two Michelin stars awarded to it. In the caption to the post, Gabbi wrote that Logy had “exceptional service” and “impeccable dishes” and that it isn’t a surprise that the restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars.

Logy isn’t the first two Michelin-starred restaurant that the couple has visited in Taiwan. Back in 2023, the two of them visited L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, one of the other restaurants in Taiwan that also has two Michelin stars.

Aside from Logy and L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Gabbi and Khalil have also visited other award-winning food establishments in Taiwan.

They have also been to AHA Saloon, which has been lauded for its “old-world feel” and features old vinyl records and vintage cassettes as part of its interior design.

It offers rock and roll themed drinks with names like Welcome to the Jungle and Walk on the Wild Side. It was also ranked 24th in the 2022 list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars.

They have also been to Taipei’s Indulge Experimental Bistro which placed sixth in the 2022 50 Best Bars list. It’s drinks have been described as “brimming with imagination yet never out of step with its location.”
