Nadine, Liza, Yassi invested in a Company Advocating Mental Health

ICYDK, Nadine LustreLiza Soberano, and Yassi Pressman have invested in a company that aims to promote mental health awareness in the country.

The three stars’ endeavor is called Mind You and it provides Filipinos easier and affordable access to mental health experts.

In an interview with Christine Jacob uploaded on YouTube on November 11, Nadine explained, “[Mind You] is a platform for mental health. The easiest way to describe it is that it’s a platform that will make [access to] therapists or psychologists easier and cheaper.”

Nadine said that issues on mental health have been a huge problem in the Philippines. “Just because it’s not widely talked about, there is still a stigma when it comes to mental health,” she shared. “We’re doing our best to try and normalize [it] and pretty much tell everyone, ‘Hey, this is a normal thing, you can do this. You can call or talk to someone and help you with what it is that you are going through.'”

Nadine said that they’re still working on Mind You but expressed her excitement about the endeavor.

Nadine, Liza, and Yassi have all been very vocal about addressing mental health issues. Last year, Nadine called out Jobert Sucaldito by posting on Instagram Stories, “I’m sick and tired of these boomers treating mental issues like its a mf joke.”

In February this year, Liza reacted to the poster of the film Tililing which Twitter users called “disturbing,” “uncomfortable,” and “inappropriate.” Liza reacted to the poster by posting on Twitter: “Really hoping this movie will spread awareness and enlighten us on the struggles of dealing with mental health. But the poster? It’s a no for me. Mental health is NOT a joke. Stop the stigma.”

Meanwhile, for World Mental Health Day, Yassi spoke up about taking care of her mental health by likening it to getting past her struggles during her first surfing lessons in Siargao. By sharing her story, the actress hoped to encourage others to not give up and to continue believing in themselves. She said, “Take care of yourself, your mental health, your peace. Find people and places that make you happy.”
