Liza Soberano asked: “Did you ever get an abortion?”

Liza admitted that she was frustrated when the issue came up in 2018 because she was unable to defend herself against the controversy that started with a blind item.

Liza was asked directly: “Did you ever get an abortion?”

“No,” Liza replied firmly and acted like she was deeply affected when this issue came up.

Liza answered the issue when she took part in a lie-detector challenge in Bea Alonzo’s YouTube video on March 5, 2023.

The allegation surfaced when Liza flew to the US to receive treatment for an injury to her index finger.

Liza had an accident during the taping of the ABS-CBN fantasy series  Bagani  (2018).

The actress also shared why she was unable to defend herself immediately.

“I was sooo frustrated about that because I got injured on the set of  Bagani .

“I wasn’t allowed to talk about it for some reason,” he said of his injury.

“I had to go to the States and I wasn’t posting for a long time because how could I post I was wearing a cast?

“I was always sick because I was taking antibiotics constantly.”

Liza also identified who possibly started the intrigue.

“I don’t know if it was a reporter… he started making accusations towards me and they were, like, blind items…

“He didn’t namedrop me but it was super obvious. He was like saying, ‘The Darna who didn’t fly, chu-chu-chu-chu.’

“It was so sad coz the date that he did that, I was literally being rolled into the operating room.”

Liza was the first chosen to play Darna but was unable to continue due to an injury, so the role went to Jane de Leon.

Liza’s weight gain was also linked to the issue of her pregnancy.

“A little bit before I went to the States, I was getting a little chubbier because I had come out of two years of exercising for  Darna . I stopped.

“I couldn’t exercise, my finger was broken and I had gained weight and people were saying that, and I went absent.

“So it was just sad that I couldn’t defend myself.”

That was the moment he decided to post his operated finger, but some still don’t want to believe it.

“I had to post the picture that I had surgery, and for some reason, people still didn’t believe it.”

Liza is not the type to hide if she gets pregnant.

He justified, “For me, I was in a really good relationship [with Enrique Gil] that was accepted by many people.

“If I did get pregnant, why wouldn’t I come forward with it?
