Carlos Yulo finally ended all speculation as to who would be there with him at the Malacañang Palace during the Heroes’ Welcome Ceremony and dinner that the government prepared for the Pinoy Olympians.

Before the event, many were speculating as to who would be there, whether it would be his family or his girlfriend.

During the ceremony, one can see the athlete’s mother-figure, Gymnastics Association of the Philippines president Cynthia Carrion, and Carlos’ girlfriend, Chloe, present during the event.

When Carlos was called to the stage to receive the Presidential Medal of Merit and the P20 million cheque from the Office of the President, Cynthia and Chloe are seen standing beside the athlete as he received the medal and cash incentive.

It can be recalled that Carlos and his girlfriend became embroiled in controversy after an apparent feud with the athlete’s mom went public hours after the Pinoy Olympian won his first gold medal.

Carlos Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast known for his exceptional skills and achievements in gymnastics. He gained international recognition for his performances in various competitions, particularly in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He won two gold medals in gymnastics’ men’s floor exercise and men’s vault in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

A few hours ago, Carlos and his fellow Pinoy Olympians landed at the Villamor Air Base. The Philippine Olympic team, along with 2-Olympic gold medalist Caloy, were treated to a red carpet welcome. Among those who welcomed the team were little kids standing the entire length of the red carpet and holding Philippine flaglets. Fellow athletes in the Philippines were also among those who welcomed the Olympians.

After the arrival ceremonies, the Pinoy Olympic team where whisked by a bus to the Malacañang Palace where they were given a Heroes’ Welcome Ceremony. The President and the First Lady, along with their two sons, were on hand to welcome the Pinoy Olympians to the palace. The 2024 Paris Olympics is considered one of the most successful Olympic campaigns of the Philippines where the country was able to get two gold medals, courtesy of Carlos, and two bronze medals, courtesy of Aira Villegas and Nesthy Petecio.
