FACT-CHECK: Andrea Brillantes did not make a statement about Kathryn Bernardo’s fashion style
CLAIM: Andrea Brillantes said Daniel Padilla parted ways with Kathryn Bernardo due to her ‘manang’ fashion style.

A YouTube video uploaded by “Showbiz fast talk” falsely claimed that Andrea Brillantes had made a statement in response to Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s breakup.
The uploader falsely quoted Brillantes in a video on Nov 30: “Hindi niya raw kasalanan na siya ang mahal ngayon ni Daniel Padilla, at iniwan si Kathryn dahil umano sa manang na pananamit nito.”
(She said it’s not her fault that Daniel Padilla now loves her, and Kathryn was supposedly left because of her conservative way of dressing.)
The “Senior High” star has not issued any statement or interview regarding the couple’s breakup or Bernardo’s fashion sense.
The photo used in the video was from her interview with Boy Abunda on Tonight with Boy Abunda in March 2020. There was no record of Andrea commenting on Kathryn’s fashion style in the interview.
Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, more popularly known as KathNiel, had gone separate ways after 11 years together. Daniel was linked to fellow star Andrea Brillantes.
The video has drawn 85,000 views, 429 likes, and 146 comments as of writing.
