The video of Carlos Yulo’s dad running in a hurry just to catch up with the parade of his son and other Pinoy Olympians has touched the hearts of many netizens.

In the video, which was posted on Facebook by @daisybhabe, one can see Carlos’ dad excitedly running from one side of the road and crossing to another side to get a better vantage point.

One can also hear in the video people cheering him on as he ran in a hurry and cross the road to a place where he can clearly see and be seen by his son.

This was just right before the parade reached the area.

It can be recalled that another video showing Carlos saluting his dad on seeing him at the side of the road with a banner that read “Caloy, dito papa mo” and making a heart side has gone viral.

The Pinoy Olympian made history in the recent Olympics where he won two gold medals in two separate gymnastics events, the first Filipino to win a medal in such events and also the first Pinoy to have won two medals in one single Olympics season.

The winnings of Carlos, however, was overshadowed by his apparent feud with his mom that further became controversial after she granted an interview where she revealed some family matters, which was then followed by the Pinoy Olympian’s own video making clarifications on his mother’s claims.

It was subsequently followed by the press conference of his mom the day after Carlos posted the video.

The issue has somewhat divided many Filipinos, with many netizens squabbling over the issue online.

Carlos Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast known for his exceptional skills and achievements in gymnastics. He gained international recognition for his performances in various competitions, particularly in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He won two gold medals in gymnastics’ men’s floor exercise and men’s vault in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

A video showing the teachers of Carlos Yulo speaking about the true attitude and character of the Olympian has also previously gone viral. In the video, one can see and hear his teachers who had nothing but kind words for him. His science teacher said that the Adamsonians were all so proud of him. Caloy’s English teacher noted that one thing that really helped Caloy was his humility, underscoring that he was never “mayabang.”

Meanwhile, Carlos’ mother-figure, Gymnastics Association of the Philippines president Cynthia Carrion, and the athlete’s girlfriend were also seen in another video accompanying him to the Heroes’ Welcome Ceremony and dinner at Malacañang Palace. Before the event, many already speculated as to who would accompany Carlos to the palace. It can be recalled that Carlos and his girlfriend due to an apparent feud with the athlete’s mom, which went public right after the athlete got the first gold medal. When Carlos went up the stage to receive the Presidential Medal of Merit and the P20 million from the Office of the President, Cynthia and Chloe were also there beside the athlete.
