Celebrity photographer BJ Pascual broke his silence on Christmas Day to defend himself on the ongoing issue with OPM artist Denise Julia. On his X (formerly Twitter) account, he explained his side of the story, sharing the complete screenshots of his manager’s conversation with Denise’s manager.
BJ decided to speak up as he wanted to avoid further misunderstandings and wanted to give the public full screenshots of the conversation. This comes after Denise shared some screenshots on her own Instagram account.
“Some claims and portions of the images she shared on her IG stories do not reflect the full context of what transpired. To avoid further misunderstandings and ensure clarity, I am sharing screenshots of our teams’ discussions to set the record straight,” he wrote.
The photographer to the stars attached several screenshots of their managers’ conversations for the supposed photoshoot. For BJ, he was willing to go below industry standards just to accommodate the budget of Denise’s team for the photoshoot and music video.

“Our team made every effort to adjust the budget down to 371k for the one-day shoot, which was below industry standards. This was part of our effort to accommodate their budget and fit within their specific range, contrary to the original 1.2M amount that Denise shared in her IG story. A detail that was not fully addressed in her video,” he added.
He maintained that this isn’t his way of escalating the situation but rather “to provide transparency and accountability” to those who are involved in the issue.
“I hope this brings clarity and closure to the matter, allowing us to move forward constructively while focusing on improving practices in the industry for the better,” he shared.
BJ apologized to the public for addressing the issue for everyone to see especially on Christmas Day but felt the need to do so in order to put the issue to rest.
