Enrique Gil may have portrayed a playboy in “My Ex and Whys” but in real life, the actor said he has never tried cheating on a woman before.

“I’ve never had a relationship that long to be able to cheat,” he said in an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Friday. “I’m not saying I would but I’ve never reached that far [into a relationship].”

Gil is being romantically linked with love team partner Liza Soberano, whom he has admitted to having feelings for. He said that he already considers him and Soberano to be a couple even if they have yet to make anything official.

“We’re in a good place,” he said, adding that he often jokingly calls Soberano his wife. “But it’s not about the labeling.”

And like Soberano, Gil, in the same interview, was also asked to complete the statement: “I am in love with…” To which he replied, without so much as a stutter: “Liza Soberano and my family.”

Headed by “Forevermore” director Cathy Garcia-Molina, “My Ex and Whys” will be about a former playboy (Gil) trying to prove to his ex-girlfriend (Soberano) that he’s a changed man. It opens in theaters nationwide on February 15.
