Kathryn Bernardo took to social media to pen a heartwarming message for her mother, Min Bernardo, as the latter celebrated her birthday.

“They say you can’t choose your family, but if I had the chance, I’d still choose you to be my mom—over and over again,” she wrote on her Instagram page.

The Kapamilya star added: “Our relationship may not be perfect (lots of fights and misunderstandings🥹), but it’s the imperfect moments that made us stronger. They made me love you even more.”

Kathryn attributed the person that she has become to Min.

“You’re a big part of who I am today, Mama. We don’t say it much, but we love you dearly. Your happiness will always be my happiness. Happy Birthday! 🎂 -Love, your bunso (the most kulit and stressful one🙈),” she wrote.

In her Instagram post, Kathryn shared throwback snapshots of herself and her mom, including her school graduation, family moments, and milestones in her entertainment career.

Friends of Kathryn online were also quick to extend their birthday wishes for Min.

“Such heartwarming words any mom would love to hear. 😍 Happy birthday Min!” Arlene Muhlach commented.

“Awwwwww… You’re the sweetest, @bernardokath! 🥰 Happy Birthday to one super mom, Tita Min! ❤️,” Valerie Concepcion wrote.

Back in November 2024, Min witnessed a new milestone in Kathryn’s life as the actress received an award in the US, coinciding with the blockbuster success of Hello, Love, Again.

“Sobrang proud ako at ang buong pamilya natin sa lahat ng blessings na natatanggap mo at ng buong #HelloLoveAgain, anak!” Min wrote on social media.

She added: “Congratulations for receiving the Snow Leopard Rising Star Award at the 10th Asian World Film Festival! Love you! ❤️”

In April 2024, Kathryn’s family celebrated another milestone with the completion of their new home. They hosted a housewarming party attended by friends and family.
