Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino lead cast farewell appreciation event for success of ‘Secretary Kim’ series

MANILA — More than 3,000 fans gathered at the Market, Market Activity Center in Taguig to watch Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino and the whole cast of ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?’ thank their loyal fans and followers of their series.

The lead stars serenaded and treated the fans to so much feels, and gamely played games with fans as well.

Speaking to ABS-CBN News, Chiu and Avelino had nothing but gratefulness and appreciation to all their fans, especially those who travelled far from Taguig, just to get a glimpse of them and celebrate the success of the series.

“We’re very grateful, I heard maraming bumiyahe pa from mga probinsya, kalapit na lalawigan papunta dito sa Market Market to support ‘What’s wrong with Secretary Kim?’ we’re very thankful,” said Avelino.

He added, “I always appreciate time and effort given to me, I hope we could give it back in ways, like our performance today.”

“Very happy of course sa naging response nila, from start to finish,” said Chiu.

Now that both ‘Linlang’ and ‘Secretary Kim’ have wrapped up, we asked Chiu and Avelino about the funniest thing they both discovered about each other.

For Avelino’s part, the Kapamilya actor said “Funny talaga siyang tao. She’s always the energy ng set. Siguro pag ginagawa niya yung ‘talaga ba?’ (with neck lock gesture).”

“Funny siya (Avelino)” said Chiu. “Ang dami niyang jokes, pinakafunny niya yung joke na hindi naman yung joke yung nakakatawa, kungdi yung delivery niya.”

Chiu adds, she appreciated Avelino’s efforts to make her smile.

“Funny naman siya. Nakakatuwa, napapatawa naman niya ako. Salitan kami, pag umaga ako nagpapatawa sa kanya. Kapag gabi o madaling araw siya na.”

Chiu and Avelino were joined by other cast members – Romnick Sarmenta, Gillian Vicenco, Phi Palmos, Kaori Oinuma, Brian Reyes, Yves Flores, Cai Cortez, Franco Laurel and Jake Cuenca.

BGYO, Angela Ken and Kim Won Shik also joined in the event and sang some of the songs included in the official PH soundtrack of ‘Secretary Kim’.
