Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo’s girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, received another rude comment on social media.

In the comments section of one of her recent posts, a netizen questioned Chloe’s education and ability to afford a business class flight from Paris.

“Kapal ng mukha mo […] Grade 12 lang inabot mo Melbourne. Sanay ka naman sa BARDAGULAN E. Kakahiya ka! May income ka? How can you afford a business class flight from Paris? That costs Euro 4,879-eur 6k?”

The basher went on to compare Chloe with Caloy’s family.

The basher also pitted Chloe against the Filipino gymnast’s occupational therapist, Hazel Calawod.

“Lyn Hazel way much educated and compose than you are. I wonder why she become your close friend? Kuno! She’s the one who did a lot of hard work with Carlos not you.”

Chloe did not let the harsh accusations pass. In a frank reply, she debunked the netizen’s baseless claims.

“Huuhh grade 12 lang tinapos? Sorry, I did a course on being an enrolled nurse and now taking up my bachelor of psychological sciences—get your facts right. You’re comparing a 35 yr old coach to a 22 yr old student.”

“I don’t have to explain every single bit of my income, just know that I CAN AFFORD IT MYSELF lol,” Chloe stressed.

“Peace and love,” the athlete’s significant other added.

Carlos Edriel Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast known for his exceptional skills and achievements in gymnastics. He gained international recognition for his performances in various competitions, particularly in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He won two gold medals in gymnastics’ men’s floor exercise and men’s vault in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The teachers of Carlos Yulo had already spoken about the true attitude and character of the Olympian. Many of them have nothing but kind words for him. His science teacher said that the Adamsonians were all so proud of him. Caloy’s English teacher noted that one thing that really helped Caloy was his humility, underscoring that he was never “mayabang.”

Carlos Yulo along with the rest of the Philippine Olympic Team were given a Heroes’ Welcome Ceremony at the Malacañang Palace. After arriving at the Villamor Airbase around 7:20PM onboard a Philippine Airlines chartered flight where they had a brief respite, they were immediately brought to Malacañang. The 2024 Paris Olympics is considered one of the most successful Olympic campaigns of the Philippines where the country was able to get two gold medals, courtesy of Carlos, and two bronze medals, courtesy of Aira Villegas and Nesthy Petecio.
