Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James took to Twitter last year and made a major declaration regarding Bronny James.

LeBron asserted that Bronny is already better than some players currently in the NBA.

We are quickly finding out that statement is terribly wrong as Bronny has yet to prove that he is even better than players who will end up in the G-League.

The old tweet has resurfaced this week as Bronny James continues to struggle through four games in the Summer League.

It should be noted that his tweet came before Bronny would have his life and career turned upside down by a cardiac arrest episode that was caused by a congenital heart defect.

James arrived at USC as a five-star prospect and was projected to be a first-round pick, but he would start his season off late as he recovered.

His stats at USC were relatively underwhelming – 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game on under 37% shooting from the field, per USCTrojans.com.

Bronny James entered the transfer portal after the season but elected to take his talents to the NBA, where the Lakers drafted him with the 55th overall pick.

Bronny James Struggling During Summer League Games

The story has yet to be written for the Los Angeles Lakers’ guard, Bronny James. The son of LeBron James is not having a good showing through four games in the Summer League.

Here are his stats through four Summer League games with the Lakers:

4 PTS, 2 REBS, 2 ASTS
8 PTS, 5 REBS, 2 STLS
2 PTS, 3 REBS
3 PTS, 5 REBS, 3 ASTS, 3 BLKS, 2 STLS

James has converted on only 7-of-31 field-goal attempts and has not hit a single three-pointer in 15 attempts.
