Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo have been friends for many years already

 Five Breakups and a Romance actress Julia Montes talked about her friendship with  A Very Good Girl actress Kathryn Bernardo.

Julia and Kathryn first worked together for a long period of time in the remake of the Mara Clara series which first featured Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes. The remake aired from 2010 to 2011.

At that time, Julia and Kathryn were just teenagers and were starting to establish their names in the industry as drama actresses.

More than a decade later, they remained friends. In a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH, Julia Montes talked about the bond that she has with Kathryn Bernardo.

She was asked if she felt pressured being paired with Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards who did the highest-grossing Filipino film Hello, Love, Goodbye in 2019 with Kathryn.

Julia said that she did not feel pressured but she said, “Siguro po pressure siya in the sense of dahil ang paningin ng tao after nila Kathryn, kami po. But ako kasi mas proud po ako eh. Dun ako tumitingin kasi si Kathryn ‘yun eh.”

She added that she is like an older sister to Kathryn and every time the latter has achieved something, she is one of the happiest.

“So parang imbes na tignan ko siya as napre-pressure lang, I am proud na si Kathryn ‘yung nandun. And kung ible-bless kami with this film, bakit hindi? We’re happy. And Kathryn is very supportive,” Julia added.

She also recalled that almost every after Kathryn’s movie, her movie is being released as well. However, Julia said that they are happy and they would often joke that they are the real loveteam.

She added that they miss each other so much and they would ask each other when would they make a project together. “Our bond is really special,” Julia Montes stressed.
