Tyrese Maxey, the Philadelphia 76ers star, recently shared a video showcasing his dribbling skills against Chris Johnson, which went viral on social media. However, the reason for the social media storm was not his skills. Several NBA fans noticed a growth in Maxey’s muscles. Sports enthusiasts noted the development in the shoulders of the 76ers’ star player, prompting many to speculate that Maxey may be using performance-enhancing drugs to quickly gain muscle without adding fat. A large number of fans debated this in the comments, eventually catching the attention of NBA officials.

Subsequently, Maxey underwent a drug test to determine whether he was using performance-enhancing drugs. Following the test, the 23-year-old point guard addressed the incident in his latest post on X (formerly known as Twitter), humorously sharing his experience of being drug tested by the NBA due to recent viral social media posts. He blamed his fans for the drug test because of their comments.

“I really got drug tested because of y’all.” Maxey wrote in his latest post on X.

NBA Fans Can’t Resist Roasting Maxey’s Comment

NBA fans started poking fun at Maxey’s remark in the comment section of the post. One fan hilariously questioned Maxey, “Did you pass the test, Tyrese?”

Meanwhile, another fan joked about Maxey’s drug test, saying, “They were calling you MAXSWOLE You were a whole BIG MAN.”

Another fan commented, “You were looking just a little too built lmao.”

Another fan mentioned, “You wasn’t supposed to get that swole they had to see wtf was goin on.”

Recently, the 76ers organization created a museum experience that highlighted all of Maxey’s accomplishments during his brief basketball career as a franchise player. During the ceremony, Maxey thanked Joel Embiid, the standout player for the 76ers, for believing in him from the beginning.
